    WHY WE SELECTED EOS42:

EOS42 is a founding Block Producer on the EOS mainnet headquartered in London. We learned of their Chintai project, in connection with several other BPs, and immediately found a lot of value. The ability to easily buy/sell resource delegation was one of the most interesting investment opportunities in crypto that we've come across. I do wish Chintai would have charged a small fee to help it become self-sustaining, but EOS42's ability to bring together a group of BP sponsors (both financially and time/talent) is also impressive. Coopertition 8-)

Socially speaking, their dedication to hosting and attending meetups and conferences has positioned them well as a trusted and approachable team. Block Producers need to build trust and reputation in the community and EOS42 has done a good job.

Technically speaking, their team has shown proven experience at launching a blockchain, participating in testnets and developing an industrial strength exchange. Driving dApp and smart contract development is essential in the first year of the EOS blockchain.

Financially speaking, the transparency offered by the EOS42 team is second-to-none. They have created several wallets for specific purposes so that the community can clearly see how they are spending their block rewards. Overall, EOS42 is a very strong team financially, technically and socially and are creating countless value for the EOS community.

    Aloha EOS

    alohaeosprod

    WHY WE SELECTED Aloha EOS:

Hailing from Hawaii, which geographically probably shouldn’t be part of the US, the Aloha team has branded themselves as being the “bridge connecting the east and west”. They separate themselves from other BPs by being very active in both the Jungle and CryptoKylin testnets as well as creating various research portals, BP analysis tools and support for voting proxies.

We particularly appreciate the leadership in developing ‘eos-proxyinfo’ which is an on-chain contract that allows EOS proxy accounts to register additional info about themselves such as name, website, philosophy and more. Voting is one way that we can secure the EOS network and offering a platform for transparent proxies is significant. In addition, the “EOS Vote Proxy Research Portal” is a great place for token holders to view and compare all on-chain information for each registered proxy who used the ‘eos-proxyinfo’ tool. Nice looks, AlohaEOS.

They also built BP research tools including the “EOS Block Producer Research Portal” which aggregates the on-chain BP information and the “EOS Block Producer Benchmarks” portal which measures and compares execution time of custom contracts run by each BP. This helps both token holders and proxies see who’s lagging the network (looking at you cochainworld and your slow af servers).

We especially appreciate their project “EOS Mechanics” which has the mission to “continuously challenge the limits of EOSIO high-performance computing, and provide the community with monitoring tools, empirical research data, best practices and guidelines to help block producers and node operators improve their performance, scale their operations and optimize their infrastructure.

    auroraeoscom

    WHY WE SELECTED Aurora EOS:

Aurora EOS focuses strongly on research, education and market development. Coming from a crypto research and investing background, they have positioned themselves to be a highly respected research and publishing asset for the community. They have published many reports on EOS, guides for voting and proxy voting, and also created The Stablecoin Index.

Their weekly email update demonstrates the dedication to updating community and the high level of engagement and reputation they are working to build for the community. In addition, they plan to offer quarterly reports that outline our efforts and the progress of their organization.

The team has years of experience and understanding of DPOS blockchains w/ Bitshares and Steemit. The team has experience architected and implemented large-scale big data pipelines and devops systems on AWS.

To further distinguish themselves, their future plans include using their investment expertise and connections to identify and fund the best projects in the EOS ecosystem.

Although being a newer BP team to join the ecosystem, We believe in the quality of research and publications this team has produced in the past. The overall professional image and high standing reputation the team members have shown so far leads us to be very excited for the future works from this team.

    blockmatrix1

    WHY WE SELECTED Block Matrix:

Blockmatrix is an independent team based in the UK that has focused on the technical aspects of EOS and works to produce analysis tools to foster more understanding to the whole ecosystem. They are experienced with designing cloud infrastructure for large corporations and building enterprise grade technology platforms on a global scale and have a proven record of building and running successful startups. Per their website, they like to let their work do the talking for them, and we don’t mind that.

What impressed up about Blockmatrix was their dedication to network monitoring to help block producers find improvements, how they share this knowledge through written technical articles, and how they produce tools & guides to help kick start new developer projects. This team really is helping build the foundation of a strong EOS ecosystem for everyone and this is one of the most valuable things we believe a BP can do.

Some examples of value adds for new developers are: tools for automating the node setup process, a syncing tool for new API nodes, tutorials on how to interact with the network, guides on how to start a new dApp project, and a quick start tool for getting set up on a testnet.

Beyond helping developers, Blockmatrix has built a proxy service to help solve the API overload/congestion issues we’ve seen recently. This proxy service uses their geographically distributed, real-time node monitoring tool to measure the best performing nodes of the Block Producers and uses this data to more efficiently allocate user's API request to the closest and best performing nodes. Tech talk aside, this tool will increase the communication speed and reliability for everyone.

Blockmatrix is a team that is focused on helping the builders of the EOS ecosystem and we value that highly. We each play our role in growing the ecosystem and we are FreedomProxy are letting this relatively quiet team get some recognition for their “behind the scenes” efforts to make EOS more user friendly and reliable.

    WHY WE SELECTED BP.Fish:

The BP.Fish team is devoted to growing the EOS community through local and global outreach efforts aimed to bridge the Eastern and Western communities. They are partnering with theLink.one to accomplish this mission. Through their “Fish Hub” incubation service, new blockchain projects can receive access to investment funds, professional advice and community connections.

The BP.Fish team is founded by Mr. Chun Wang, a co-founder of F2Pool, one of the world’s leading Bitcoin and Ethereum mining pools. This is a very technically capable team that has been in the crypto space for a very long time.

This team is pushing the envelope on storing and protecting users’ data by offering a service called “HODLong”. This is an interplanetary file storage (IPFS) service which allows users to purchase a package to have their data stored in the decentralized EOS network. We believe this service will help drive the adoption of EOS by providing a way for users to protect their data without needing to use a centralized storage service.

We believe the success of EOS depends not only on the technical professionalism of a team, but also on strong community outreach efforts. We believe BP.Fish excels on multiple fronts and is putting forward the effort to strengthen the EOS network.

    WHY WE SELECTED CryptoLions:

The Cryptolions are a tech focused BP that operates and manages one of the most popular testnets, “The Jungle Testnet”. Having a dependable testnet adds value to the overall community so that BPs can test new code and identify issues before being deployed on the EOS mainnet. When the testnet was attacked, CryptoLions were able to identify and resolve quickly with a timely article explaining what happened. They’ve also created notification tools to help keep BPs up-to-date on when they are voted in and out of the Top 21.

Their “EOS Network Monitor” acted as a homepage for many early EOS enthusiasts and helped us visualize the blockchain early. Also their ZEOS service is a convenient and simple way for ETH and BTC holders to create new EOS accounts. We love easy account creation.

Cryptolions is independently owned and funded and publishes financial disclosures.

Having their nodes in Germany and Finland helps us build out a geographically diversified portfolio which we believe provides additional strength to the network.

    WHY WE SELECTED Cypherglass:

Cypherglass is aiming to raise the bar on what it means to be a professional and independent block producer. Their name, Cypher; meaning “code” and Glass; meaning “transparency” shows their dedication to maintaining transparency and building the trust of the community in everything they do.

They are forward planning and focused on EOS independence by having primary and backup bare metal infrastructure setup in two separate locations to mitigate risk and ensure uptime. They are partnered w/ DataBank, a leading provider of enterprise-class data centers for their backup node. Cypherglass has experience in the crypto space having built and managed companies like ICO Alert and The Ledger Agency, which specialize in blockchain development, ICO consulting and marketing services.

Their proclaimed “commitment to Education, Community, and Technology” is shown by the tools they have created.

-LENS: is a safe way to vote for BPs w/o storing your keys on your computer or transmitting them over the internet.

-GLASS: is a transparency tool for BPs to use to publicly disclose and manage their ownership interests and infrastructure.

-WINDSHIELD: is a security/alert tool for BPs to help identify issues with their nodes.

An X-factor for Cypherglass, they held a bounty of $50K to get EOS integrated into the Ledger hardware wallet.

Cypherglass is a very professional and transparent BP that puts the extra effort into all the user guides, tutorials, and news updates they publish. This is a very high caliber team and is one of the few teams based in the United States which adds to our geographical diversification.

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS Argentina:

EOS Argentina has years of DPOS and graphene experience, assisted in the launch of Bitshares, and maintain nodes in Bitshares and Steem. This shows us that they have been on board with DPOS blockchains before most and we appreciate that. The helped contribute to the launch of EOS by helping build tools for the boot and verification of the EOS mainnet launch as one of the initial 21 BPs. They are active in testnets to this day. We love hands on type BPs and EOS Argentina is a great example.

They are as strong in their community outreach as they are in their technical proficiency. As a “community based Block Producer” they have committed any “surplus profit” to be invested in Community Building and EOS Tech Promotion. Their socially-focused roadmap identifies priorities such as hosting meetups, funding an Incubator/Accelerator, attending and speaking at Latin American conferences and building training courses to help the Spanish speaking community learn how to build on EOS. Their website is one of the most impressive that we’ve seen and they strive to be very transparent also.

We appreciate their roadmap of moving towards a bare metal producing node with cloud backup to show their longer term decentralized vision of the EOS project. They are a great addition to our proxy and add the necessary South American outreach.

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS Asia:

EOS Asia is a combination of very strong entrepreneurs and world class technical members that have seen success at launching applications and games garnering users in the tens of millions. They are striving to be a leader in the development of mainstream EOS dApps while also working to encourage dApp creation through educational efforts like “EOS Code Academy” and providing these resources to the community for free. EOS Pixels, a community art game, was one of the first games to go viral on EOS.

We have been impressed with their very active efforts to grow the EOS community by hosting numerous hackathons and events around the globe, creating the EOS Go BP Portal where BP teams can post and learn about each other as well as organize events, and staying very engaged on social media on telegram and twitter. Their efforts in multiple testnets is recognized and appreciated too.

EOS Asia developed “MyEosKit”, one of the first and highest quality all-in-one EOS toolkits complete with network monitor, block explorer, voting, account creation, several user guides to help users and more.

We see EOS Asia as a very valuable contributor specifically in the Asian region and appreciate the wide range of skill sets and value they add to the ecosystem.

    EOS Cafe Block

    eoscafeblock

WHY WE SELECTED EOS Cafe Block:

EOS Cafe Block is a BP focused heavily on creating the best user experience possible. This includes actively participating in security related issues as well as pushing the envelope on usability from the user’s perspective. They share a vision of a more decentralized world and have been working towards this since the mainnet launch of EOS. Being a fully compliant entity in Canada with a large Canadian banking partner and Canadian exchange partners they are focusing on building a transparent operation with a solid reputation.

With efforts to expand to have a more global reach and presence, this team is working hard to connect and educate the EOS community through a variety of ways, including building an EOS Cafe in cities around the world, publishing in multiple languages, offering a technical advisory service to help incubate projects, engaging businesses to explain the benefits of EOS integration, generating high quality educational content, investing in meetups & conferences, and making very useful tools. This team is very active on social media, run a telegram channel, and keep an active blog.

They co-created one of the best block explorers, Bloks.io, which is really more of a full service blockchain interface than just a wallet. It has been translated to support Korean and Chinese languages, which is a plus to see their efforts to join the communities of EOS around the world. Created an offline registration fallback key tool too. The recently released Bloks.io Desktop Wallet, integrated w/ Scatter and Ledger support, makes for one of the best user experiences on the market today.

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS Canada:

EOS Canada is a group of serial entrepreneurs with the objective to become a hub for companies, entrepreneurs, and developers who want to build infrastructure and decentralized applications on top of EOSIO. We have been impressed so far seeing them live up to their goals of being a BP that builds unique development, testing, and production tools to enable developers and businesses to embrace blockchain technology to build a decentralized world, as well as for the benefit of the whole community.

This team has been an active leader since before mainnet launch providing excellent resources and updates to the community including creating the “eos-bios” software which helped considerably with the mainnet launch. They has also taken on a cooperative role with many other BPs in helping build the referendum voting software. This community first approach is what really put EOS Canada in the upper echelon of BPs in our opinion.

It is remarkable how much the EOS Canada team has produced. They have built a collection of tools including a forum messaging and referendum system, a command line interface/wallet, as well as analytics tools, a block explorer, network testing tools and day to day tools for new teams. They are super accessible on social media and run an excellent telegram room. They create excellent youtube videos on very important topics in the community as well as guides for their own tools too. To top it off, they even publish a newsletter.

This is a top notch team dedicated to securing the network and who is constantly reaching out and growing the community. We really appreciate their efforts to work alongside the other BPs to build projects the whole ecosystem needs. This is a must have BP.

    eosDAC

    eosdacserver

    WHY WE SELECTED eosDAC:

Self-branded as “the Community-Owned EOS Block Producer and DAC Enabler”, the eosDAC team was the first to experiment with launching and operating as a decentralized block producer community. “DAC” stands for “Decentralized Autonomous Community” . The eosDAC BP is governed by its constitution and is controlled by its token holders and the board members they vote in to run its operations. The eosDAC tokens were airdropped to all EOS holders to distribute the ownership stakes at a 1:1: rate. Their recently released member client allows eosDAC token holders to register as members and begin to participate in the DACs operations. To uphold transparency, all operations of eosDAC are open and transparent.

They believe the most important jobs of a BP is to produce blocks secure the network above all else. We agree which is why we appreciate how active they have been in the EOS testnets. This team has members with years of DPOS experience going back to their involvement in the Bitshares community and operating a witness (producing) node on the Steemit blockchain. They have diversified their block production infrastructure being set up in different locations in the UK, Romania and South Korea.

Perhaps the most unique feature of eosDAC is their dedication to providing assistance to forming new DACs. They have created the “DAC toolkit” to help this process as well as offering peer code review and airdrop advisory services.

We believe that eosDAC has created a very unique BP structure for community involvement and are very interested to see how it continues to evolve and grow.

    eosdublinwow

    WHY WE SELECTED eosDublin:

We’ve said it before, but supporting BPs who are actively securing the network is the #1 priority for FreedomProxy. EOS Dublin takes this very seriously and works regularly with a UK security auditing firm to simulate infrastructure attacks as well as social engineering attacks. Their primary and secondary producing nodes are bare metal in Ireland data centers and they even have a tertiary node using the Azure cloud. You’re not going to take EOS Dublin offline.

We also appreciate their social focus and thinking the project EOSBootcamp.com could provide significant value to growing the EOS community with it’s tutorials and easy to understand courses. Their dedicated “dublinsocial” fund is allocated 10% of their BP rewards for social purposes and they supported Chintai which is a project we really appreciate.

Now let’s get to our favorite part; Ignition and Parachute.

Ignition is billed as “the app store for EOS” that has plans to be your go-to source to find that perfect app or game. While still early in development, the interface is promised to be “intuitive to smartphone users” and we expect it to eventually feel a lot like using the Apple and Android stores.

Parachute is an amazing concept aimed to help dApp teams more intelligently distribute their token drops. It’s basically a platform that allows users to opt-in to airdrops but more importantly it helps dApp teams gain a better understanding of what types of users will be receiving their tokens (location, other airdrops they’ve received, spoken languages). Basically it provides “better engagement, better ownership and better distribution”. This is liberty entrepreneurship!

    WHY WE SELECTED eosmeso:

Headquartered in Guatemala, EOSmeso supports a bare metal, ISO certified data center infrastructure with options for geographically and jurisdictionally flexibility in throughout Latin America including Guatemala, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Paraguay. They are also active in the Jungle testnet.

We appreciate how EOSmeso is focused on building the Latin/Central American community; one that’s often overlooked when compared to the US, EU and Asian communities. By supporting hackathons, meetups and outreach, we believe the Spanish speaking community will greatly benefit and be able to organize.

Also, they are building Voteos.info which allows token holders to create, submit and vote on proposals (similar to a referendum mechanism) in order to reach consensus and express their positions and preferences on the direction of EOS. Time will tell if this project will be adapted by the community as a front-end for actual on-chain EOS referendums. So far it looks well thought out with a clean interface and Scatter support.

Having pledged to offer transparency of their “costs, strategy, performance, income, investments and donations shall be public” is aligned with our philosophy as well.

We should mention that we’ve met Jose Toriello at several conferences (Tulip, London Hackathon) and his energy and attitude is contagious, approachable and down to earth. We noticed “nicknames” for every team member on their website which shows us that not only are they a serious team, but one who enjoys each other. Too often teams try to fill roles based solely on skill sets and forget the necessity of comradery and having fun while building the future.

    WHY WE SELECTED EOSMetal:

EOS Metal has really helped raise the standard as a BP with its outstanding efforts to provide top tier bare metal infrastructure that is hosted in multiple datacenters across several geopolitical locations, specifically Iceland, Spain, France and Germany facilities. This reduces the chance of downtime by reducing the political risk of any single country’s laws affecting them.

Their focus on block production, top notch security and with heavy testnet participation is why we love EOS Metal. They know that EOS cannot succeed without a strong backbone of BPs dedicated to keeping the network strong and secure. They promise to maintain their independence and vision by remaining self funded and not taking outside investment.

EOS Metal has worked on developing the idea of dApp level arbitration with their major project, Tungsten, instead of relying on the base layer ECAF arbitration model that EOS began with. By using a Tungsten “truth bond” a user can place a stake that will act as a security deposit for the fulfillment of a Ricardian contract. The idea is to use these truth bonds to define objective boundaries and penalties that will work to help make claimable promises to establish trust and visibility between parties transacting.

We love the idea of dApp layer arbitration b/c it allows for a much less reliance on a single arbitration method and allows for the free market to compete and provide customized solutions depending on what you want/need.

EOS Metal is a tech savvy team focusing on the right things to take EOS to the next level.

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS Nation:

EOS Nation is an independently owned and funded team making their mark in the EOS ecosystem by their truly global outreach and education efforts. They have been a vocal community leader since the beginning with the goal of empowering the community through education.

They have been creating high value content since before the EOS mainnet launch including articles, user guides, youtube videos and discussions on governance. Working with other BPs, they created a very in-depth collection of educational materials on github called “Awesome EOS”. Post EOS launch, they have continued this effort in building the eosdocs.io platform. This is one of the most impressive information sources in existence.

They have a growing EOS Nation Ambassador program that currently has 14 Ambassadors spread out across the world. It supports and funds meetups as well as providing the resources for this diverse team of Ambassadors to translate EOS articles in up to 6 different languages! Their community meetups have taken place across Canada, Nigeria, Switzerland, Ukraine, Kosovo, and China. They also host weekly AMAs that get uploaded to their very active youtube channel.

Operated one of the the first public testnets, the Scholar Testnet, before mainnet launch. Now they are contributing to the development of a foundational referendum voting tool.

What we really appreciate is their willingness to meet with and share the knowledge they learn with other BPs as well as the community as a whole. They are in this EOS experiment 100% and it shows by the level of effort consistently seen by the entire team.

EOS New York is one of the most impressive teams we’ve found. They really do have a “New York State of Mind” and it shows. With a range of experience in the areas of Entrepreneur/VC, high level marketing, and enterprise datacenter deployment and management, this team has the talents to follow with their mission to deliver free-market solutions.

We know them as a team that puts the highest quality touch on everything they do. A major strength of EOS New York is their public outreach efforts. They are very active in the community and in social media and have stayed a vocal leader voicing their opinions on important timely topics. They publish a weekly update newsletter, sponsor meetups, and even set up a home base in China for extra community outreach. They publish their articles in multiple languages to help stay in touch with the larger EOS ecosystem across the world.

EOS New York has developed very useful tools including eosdocs.io, a library of tools and guides for developers & users, network monitoring tools, and a resource planning tool. They have helped set the standard of BP transparency since the beginning. We expect BPs to continue to become more and more transparent as the ecosystem grows since trust in the BPs is what makes the system stay resilient.

EOS New York has been a Top 10 block producer since the mainet launch and we believe it is deserved with the high level of effort and professionalism they have put into everything. We appreciate the geographical uniqueness they offer the ecosystem as well as their dedication to following industry best-practices. We believe EOS New York has excelled across the board.

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS NodeOne:

NodeOne boasts a strong, active community of ~5000 members in South Korea and has created educational tutorials, a mobile voting app on iOS, account creation tools, and hosted a conference volunteered as a mentor at the EOS hackathons. According to their website, they are active in “all BP forums and discussions” and regularly propose new ideas including thought leadership on how to address issues with RAM, BP revenue evaluation tools and have made efforts to collaborate closely with other BPs.

Technically speaking, NodeOne boasts network security best practices which we feel are important to keeping EOS safe including network monitoring, blockchain latency statistics and verifying sync with global atomic clocks. They were active members during the mainnet launch process and is currently active in the Kylin testnet.

We are keeping a careful eye to see how NodeOne decides to use their influence as a core member of the WPS (Worker Proposal System) as well as their current strategy to “implement all arbitration orders immediately”. Both of these are in question by the FreedomProxy team, but at this point the value added by NodeOne has earned our vote.

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS Rio:

EOS Rio is a strong technical team based in Rio de Janeiro that are working on very valuable projects behind the scenes to strengthen the network which in turns helps everyone. They have been involved in the testnets since the beginning and have strived to improve the capability and stability of the EOS network as a whole.

EOS Rio produced “Hyperion”, which is first and foremost a tool for bringing together the combined data logs of BPs to monitor the EOS network to help identify anomalies/issues for improvements. It can also be used by individual dApp developers who want to get analytics on their dApp by simply uploading their dApp data. Hyperion works to bring together BPs and combine their data logs to build a more representative database to learn from. This is exactly the type of cooperation between BPs that we like to see. Creating fun dApps is cool, but doing the less glamorous work behind the scenes to strengthen the whole network & community is what we truly appreciate at FreedomProxy.

Working to promote increased BP transparency and increased voter confidence EOS Rio proposed a more standardized JSON file with important contact information.

EOS Rio created one of the first desktop wallets with “SimplEOS”. It comes with standard features such as account creation, voting, token transfers and airdrops, but also provides unique features like multiple account management, a personal contact list, and record of transaction history.

As a whole, EOS Rio embodies what we appreciate in a block producer with their strong leadership and mission to create an EOS network as strong as it can be by providing the tools we need right when the community needs it.

    WHY WE SELECTED Sw/eden:

EOS Sweden has been making a positive impact on the EOS ecosystem since before the mainnet launch. Their goal is to see increased cooperation between all actors that work within EOS and they promise to continue to invest their time and money into helping devs and other BPs.They created the “Superhero” testnet, one of the first large scale testnets for EOS in the early days. They were also a member of the “Ghostbusters”, a collaborative effort of BPs initially working as a research effort that ended up working together to help launch the mainnet. EOS Sweden’s efforts still continue to this day behind the scenes helping BPs implement best-practice security on their nodes.

They were instrumental in creating the first voting portal, eosportal.io, before the mainnet launch in response to community requests. EOS Sweden actively promotes social outreach by supporting social events conferences.

They believe EOS is at its strongest when BPs control their own bare metal infrastructure. EOS Sweden reinvests heavily back into their infrastructure as shown by their published quarterly report on their website.

We appreciate the dedication to top notch bare metal facilities, excellent transparency, and their overall vision for EOS and the efforts to work with the community to help realize that vision.

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS Titan:

The EOS Titan team is a very talented tech team with years of experience with Delegated Proof of Stake systems. They have helped launch Bitshares and have developed third party applications on Steem blockchain. They focus on providing in depth research about the EOS blockchain and publishing it to the community for free inside their custom made “EOS Titan Lab” website. This is the type of passion and dedication to the overall community that we appreciate that goes on behind the scenes.

Their recent joint project, EOS Mechanics, w/ BPs EOS Aloha and Greymass, aims to collect performance data on block producers’ hardware to find places for improvements.

They worked to develop the Pricefeed Oracle service to establish an average EOS price to help with the development of future financial products such as options, future contracts, and the creation of stable coins.

We could mention all the monitoring and analytics tools that EOS Titan provides but it's just too many to list. They track almost everything under the sun and share it all. They are an excellent team who share a similar free market vision as us. We appreciate their hard work and also how they add an extra geographic dimension to our proxy by producing blocks out of Bulgaria.

    EOS Tribe

    eostribeprod

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS Tribe:

The Vision of EOS Tribe is to “leverage, build and promote distributed systems that secure life, liberty, and property for all.” The EOS Tribe brand is to be fully transparent with their associations, financial interests and in their communication with the community. They aim to be trusted stewards of the EOS ecosystem by following the EOS constitution as it is written and voted upon by the token holders. The promise to not take any outside money, will not collude with other BPs, and are independently financed and operated.

This team goes to impressive lengths to reinforce their dedication to decentralization, security, and community focus. They operate a hybrid combination of bare metal servers and cloud, have multiple separate backup server locations, and have drafted their own personal constitution to operate by to garner trust and set expectations with the community.

EOS Tribe has their fingerprints all over the EOS ecosystem. They showed leadership in creating two testnets, EOS Arrowhead testnet and EOSNet testnet, as well as also helping found the “Ghostbusters” team that launched the mainnet.

    costaricaeos

WHY WE SELECTED EOS Costa Rica:

EOS Costa Rica is a strong technical team with 4+ years experience running full nodes for Bitcoin, Dash and Stellar with additional experience being a Witness on the Steem blockchain, although not for an extended amount of time. Combine this with the team’s experience founding and running a software company gives us a lot of confidence in both their hardware + software talents.

Costa Rica physically manages their bare metal infrastructure and has 10 years of experience running a 24/7 data center which helps achieve our goal to build a BP portfolio of both cloud and bare metal operations. Geographically, the team and their servers are in San Jose, which is located in a “diverse part of the planet with multiple submarine fiber optic cables”. Again, we view infrastructure in Latin America to carry a lot of value and is easily overlooked in favor of teams in more popular jurisdictions.

Involvement in the testnets is super important and Costa Rica is very active in the Jungle helping keep the network dependable and coordinating community consensus on how to solve issues such as instability on the weekly “Jungle community call”. Without testnets, the mainnet would be more vulnerable.

Lastly, their commitment to reinvesting rewards to educate and training developers in Latin America is a great way to get devs introduced and interested in EOS and we hope that our vote helps them realize more profit to put this vision in motion.

    eosauthority

    WHY WE SELECTED EOS Authority:

EOS Authority has proven to be a very outgoing team. They have been helping the EOS community since before the mainnet launch with guides and various tools to help token holders get familiar with the whole process and truly became an authority early through this early leadership. Their participation in testnets and pre-launch efforts is a huge plus to us. They have a strong technical background in software security, scaling, and smart contracts. Their team boasts an Amazon AWS certified architect and several developers with MS degrees.

Focused on growing the community and improving users’ understanding they have built a very professional website with a large collection of user tools spanning voting, analytics, tracking proposals, and account protection with email and telegram alerts. They have shown to be very transparent with who they are, their vision, and operational disclosures.

Combine this with their highly active social media telegram channel and active twitter account, we believe they are a wonderful representative of the EOS ecosystem. This is a top level team that we believe has the vision to support and grow the EOS community. They have built a great reputation worthy of our support.

    GenerEOS

    aus1genereos

    WHY WE SELECTED GenerEOS:

Based out of Sydney, Australia, Team GenerEOS is focused on building dApps and contracts to help support DACs and allow communities to better organize, fund and collaborate. For too long we’ve been regulated to using the government’s corporate protection system and we see a lot of value specifically in DACs to support and protect communities and charities.

Speaking of creating for the community, their project EOStoolkit.io was one of the first (and still one of the best) wallet dashboard interfaces in the EOS ecosystem. Boasting support for voting, proxy voting, token transfers, airdrop/grab assistance, account creation, Scatter integration, multi-sig support and more. Both it and the Greymass wallet were integral during the early stages of interacting with the EOS blockchain for end users.

We also appreciate that GenerEOS is assisting in the creation of referendum software and (hopefully) its integration into both EOStoolkit and the EOSvotes.io dashboard although it seems to have possibly stalled as of late.

The “EOS Help Desk” is the result a partnership with the Blockgenic BP team which delivers useful features like live support chat, a forum for Q&A between users, and comprehensive guides.

Although their infrastructure is solely cloud based, they have redundancy setup by using both AWS and GCP service providers. Both offering high performance, flexibility and ease of upgrade. We don’t expect all BPs to have bare metal servers and can appreciate the advantages that cloud services can offer.

We hope to see GenerEOS continue with the DAC charity angle as well as offering assistance with the referendum build out process.

    Greymass

    teamgreymass

    WHY WE SELECTED Greymass:

Greymass puts a strong focus on maintaining a high-quality infrastructure and provides fast and reliable API endpoints which plays a critical role allowing for the development of apps and the movement of data across the network. While API endpoints don’t receive a lot of fanfare, dApp teams have turned to Greymass for access to the EOS blockchain due to their high speed. They also offer assistance to dev teams and other BPs to ensure latency is low and dApps can operate at peak performance.

Shortly after the EOS mainnet launch, Team Greymass built and offered for free their “eos-voter” wallet which allowed users to manage their accounts and vote. The wallet has seen several functional iterations and improvements in user experience since released.

It’s worth mentioning that Team Greymass also has previous experience with the Steem blockchain and built various tools (SteemCleaners and Cheetah) which offer free market security and protections for users.

Recent participation in helping design the referendum voting software helps separate this team from others.

GreyMass is a very strong technical team who is committed to ensuring access to EOS and offers API endpoints as a public service as well as keeping geographically flexible infrastructure.

    hkeos

    hkeoshkeosbp

    WHY WE SELECTED hkeos:

Technical competence is very important to the FreedomProxy team and securing the EOS network and producing trustworthy blocks is ultimately the most foundational aspect of a Block Producer. The HKEOS team, with assistance from EOS Rio, co-created the Ghostbusters Research Group which was “started as an EOS testnet focused on researching and rehearsing the best practices for running the eosio software” prior to mainnet launch. Additional reasoning for the Ghostbusters testnet (from HKEOS’s website) claims they “were worried about the lack of focus regarding infrastructure security”. This is the type of initiative we are talking about!

HKEOS also helps build out a geographically diversified portfolio of node locations which includes “a hybrid infrastructure with nodes in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo”.

As you know, community building is also really important and the HKEOS team, in partnership with EOS Cafe Block, built Bloks.io, the best EOS block explorer currently available and is now integrated with Scatter so that you can easily create accounts, vote and managing your tokens in a web-wallet interface in addition to all the normal block explorer features.

With a small, yet professional team, HKEOS has proven that they are willing to work with other BPs to produce tons of value while staying focused on community and technical savviness.

    LiquidEOS

    eosliquideos

    WHY WE SELECTED LiquidEOS:

LiquidEOS has focused on building the fundamental infrastructure needed to build the future EOS ecosystem on top of. Their major contribution to accomplish this was the Bancor exchange and liquidity mechanism, a product important enough in the eyes of Dan Larimer to be ported over to into the eosio software. The more recent Heartbeat plugin is a great initiative to keep BPs synced up and ready for block production. The Watchdog script is a clean way to automatically unregister a Block Producer when it has stopped producing blocks.

LiquidEOS is active on social media as well as maintaining an up-to-date blog on Medium. While their website is professional, it needs additional organization including accessible links to ownership disclosure, blog and roadmap. Their JSON file needs to add their producer location country to be complete.

Their dedication to bare metal primary and backup servers inside “military grade secure subterranean facilities, 15 meters underground” as well as being experienced entrepreneurs gives us the confidence that LiquidEOS is able to keep adding value to the ecosystem and protect the EOS network.

    MEET.ONE

    eosiomeetone

    WHY WE SELECTED MEET.ONE:

We live in a “mobile first” world and the MEET.ONE team is focused on creating a mobile experience that will attract mass adoption which is already available in both the Apple and Android app stores. To build a large user base, the MEET.ONE team as helped EOS users create new accounts for free and offer an intuitive wallet with near seamless integration with dApp games such as EOS Knights, BetDice, EOS Poker.

While EOS gaming may be the “killer app” that attracts mass users, it’s not the only think MEET.ONE is focused on. Within their wallet you can also explore non-gaming dApps such as lending on Chintai, access the various decentralized exchanges, create new accounts, vote and request a bit of free CPU when your accounts get too low. All of this helps create a user interface that mobile users expect.

While the MEET.ONE team is headquartered in the Chinese port city of Xiamen, their nodes are located in Taiwan, which again helps diversify our node portfolio.

We really appreciate how the team focuses on bridging the cultural divide between East and West by creating tools and content in both Chinese and English and staying active on both Asian and Western social media platforms.

    TOKENIKA

    tokenika4eos

    WHY WE SELECTED TOKENIKA:

Tokenika is a team of experienced entrepreneurs from Poland who are also very free market focused. Early on, they questioned the need and role of ECAF and presented outside the box thinking of how competition in legal arbitration could be handled without the need to use public inflationary funding. The “walled garden” approach presented at the London “Unconference” in Sept 2018 showed how communities could come together under a similar smart contract and set their own rules of engagement without having to rely on a comprehensive base layer arbitration.

As far as development, Tokenika has built EOSFactory which helps developers setup smart-contract development & testing frameworks so they can create a private testnet and then compile, unit-test and deploy EOS smart-contracts. Hopefully this means we have less buggy code running on EOS.

These libertarian Block Producers definitely understand the concept of #buildfreedom and why it’s important to allow market forces the chance to balance things out.

Our voting philosophy

Free-market aligned voter proxy supporting transparency, technical competency, dApp development, social outreach and the entrepreneurial spirit

We look for teams that go above and beyond with qualities of proven track records, focus on network security, growing and engaging our community, and sharing our vision of decentralization, free market competition and entrepreneurship.

We vote for the maximum allowed 30 BPs. This practice strengthens the network thru increased community representation. By voting for less than 30 BPs you arent giving yourself as much representation as possible, while giving others that use all 30 votes more influence than you. Choosing us as your trusted proxy is a convenient way to guarantee your votes are responsibly allocated to support the best BPs that help us promote our vision of building freedom.
